Amanda Hurley

Amanda Hurley, CPC, is a Clinical Professional Counselor at Healing Minds who combines environmental science and mental health expertise. Her journey from environmental biology to clinical mental health counseling gives her a holistic perspective on resilience and healing.

Her practice, specializing in trauma treatment for individuals of all ages, includes training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. She uses mindfulness techniques, attachment theory, and mindful movement to address unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns resulting from past trauma.

Her experience with the Nevada Army National Guard's Resilience, Risk Reduction, Suicide Prevention, and Substance Abuse Prevention programs informed her crisis intervention work and support for service members and their families. At Healing Minds she offers individual therapy, family and marriage counseling, group therapy, and telehealth, and she is a firm believer in the human capacity to heal.
