As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT), Elizabeth has dedicated her career to supporting at-risk youth and families through innovative therapeutic approaches.

Elizabeth's journey in mental health began at Arizona State University, where she distinguished herself as a Distinguished Graduate, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Human and Child Development. Her commitment to excellence continued at Texas A&M University-Central Texas, where she completed her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, again as a Distinguished Graduate.

Specializing in trauma-informed care, Elizabeth has honed her skills through advanced training in several evidence-based modalities. She is proficient in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), sandtray therapy, and play therapy. This diverse therapeutic toolkit allows her to tailor her approach to the unique needs of each client, particularly in addressing complex trauma and developmental challenges.

Elizabeth's professional journey includes significant contributions to STARRY since 2017, where she has served in various capacities. Starting as a satellite Counselor, she progressed to Team Supervisor for the STARRY FAYS program in Killeen, providing clinical supervision for graduate student interns and direct counseling services. Her role as a Training and Technical Support Professional with STARRY's STEP UP Texas program showcased her commitment to community education, as she provided training in trauma-informed care and restorative practices to partners within Bell County.

In her current role as Director of Clinical and Experiential Learning, Elizabeth oversees clinical operations across all STARRY programs. She is passionate about fostering positive relationships with universities to enhance the graduate student intern experience at STARRY. Additionally, Elizabeth serves as the HIPAA Privacy and Security Officer for the agency, ensuring the highest standards of client confidentiality and data protection.

Elizabeth's commitment to mental health extends beyond her daily work. She has held leadership positions on the board of the Central Texas Chapter of the Association for Play Therapy for five years and currently serves on the CTC Mental Health Advisory Committee. These roles reflect her dedication to advancing the field of mental health and play therapy in her community.

Balancing her professional life, Elizabeth resides in the Killeen area with her husband, a retired Army Veteran, and her son. She embodies the importance of self-care and work-life balance, enjoying outdoor activities and pursuing personal interests like CrossFit and woodworking projects in her free time.
