Leann Borneman

Driven by a passion for dismantling societal misconceptions about sexuality, Leann Borneman, LCSW, CST, brings a unique perspective to her practice as a Sexologist and Certified Sex Therapist. Her journey into the field was sparked by a personal revelation about the lack of comprehensive education on human anatomy and sexuality, leading her to dedicate her career to filling this crucial knowledge gap.

Leann's expertise lies at the intersection of ADHD, relationships, and sexuality. As someone who received an ADHD diagnosis later in life, she intimately understands the complexities of navigating a neurotypical world with a neurodivergent mind. This personal experience informs her approach, allowing her to provide empathetic and tailored support to clients struggling with similar challenges.

With a Master's in Social Welfare from Stony Brook University, Leann has been practicing since 2019. Her areas of concentration include sexual dysfunctions, BDSM/Kink, ADHD in relationships and sex, desire and pleasure issues, porn/sex addiction, paraphilias, and women's health, including perimenopause and menopause. She is committed to helping individuals who feel disconnected and stuck in their sexuality, providing a safe space to explore and discuss strategies for success.

Leann's approach is grounded in the belief that accurate information is key to developing empathy for oneself and others in matters of sexuality. She works to dismantle false narratives about relationships and intimacy, helping clients redefine success on their own terms. Her practice is particularly suited for those who have tried various approaches without seeing change, offering a fresh perspective and practical strategies for improvement.

In addition to her private practice, Leann contributes to the field by teaching college-level Psychology classes, including Introduction to Psychology, Child Development, and Human Sexuality. She is an active member of AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists) and holds certification as a Sex Therapist. Leann's multifaceted approach combines education, therapy, and coaching, empowering clients to take control of their sexual health and lead with empowerment.
