Maria Sargent

Maria Sargent has been practicing psychiatry since 2024, bringing a diverse background that includes cardiology, palliative care, and mental health. Originally from upstate New York, she began her academic journey in linguistics before shifting to nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from George Washington University in 2018.

Maria has lived in several states—including Alaska and Arizona—before making her home in the Black Hills. Her practice is rooted in empathy, and she values walking alongside her patients through both challenges and milestones.
