Michelle R. Pass
MS, LPC, LMFT • Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
About
From the rolling hills of Arkansas to the therapeutic setting, Michelle R. Pass, MS, LPC, LMFT, brings a unique blend of rural roots and professional expertise to her counseling practice. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Michelle's approach is deeply influenced by her appreciation for family and farm life, creating a warm and grounded atmosphere for her clients.
Michelle's journey in mental health began while she was pursuing her graduate studies, working as a mental health paraprofessional for three years. After graduating from John Brown University in 2010 with her Master's degree, she has accumulated diverse experience in various mental health care settings. This broad exposure has equipped her to work effectively with individuals of all ages, though in recent years, she has primarily focused on providing school-based services to children and youth in Greenwood, AR.
What sets Michelle apart is her holistic approach to therapy, which extends beyond traditional methods. She is certified with EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) as both a Mental Health Therapist and Equine Specialist, integrating her love for animals into her therapeutic practice. Michelle is also working towards certification with her chocolate lab, Scout, to incorporate animal-assisted therapy, recognizing the significant positive impact animals can have in the therapeutic process.
When not in her professional role, Michelle embraces her rural lifestyle on her family farm, where she lives with her husband and three children. Their dedication to farm life earned them the Arkansas Farm Bureau Sebastian County Farm Family of the Year award in 2017. This personal background allows Michelle to connect deeply with clients who value family, community, and a connection to nature.
Michelle's diverse skill set, combined with her warm, down-to-earth approach, creates a unique therapeutic environment. Whether working with children in schools or adults seeking family therapy, she brings a wealth of experience, a passion for animal-assisted techniques, and a genuine understanding of rural life to her practice. Clients can expect a therapist who is not only professionally competent but also personally invested in fostering growth and healing in a way that respects and incorporates the values of family, community, and connection to the natural world.
