About
With a diverse educational background spanning two continents, Nina Bravo brings a unique perspective to her role as Associate Director and Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) at Grupo CRECER. Her journey in the field of healthcare and psychology began in Peru, where she obtained a Science degree and an Obstetrics degree from Huánuco University in 1995 and 1997, respectively. This early training provided her with a solid foundation in understanding human biology and the intricacies of family dynamics.
Seeking to expand her horizons and deepen her expertise, Mrs. Bravo made the bold decision to relocate to the United States in 2000. Demonstrating her commitment to effective communication and cultural integration, she attended Santa Ana College to enhance her English language skills. This dedication to overcoming language barriers now serves her well in connecting with a diverse clientele.
Building upon her previous education and newfound language skills, Nina pursued higher education in the field of psychology. She obtained her Master's in Family and Marriage Therapy and Psychology Counseling from Argosy University, Orange County. This advanced degree equipped her with the specialized knowledge and therapeutic techniques essential for addressing the complex issues faced by couples and families in today's society.
Currently, Nina Bravo applies her extensive education and cross-cultural experience as a practicing family and marriage therapist within Grupo CRECER. Her role as Associate Director speaks to her leadership skills and the trust placed in her by the organization. At Grupo CRECER, a community-based organization founded in 2002, Nina contributes to the mission of offering culturally adapted family strengthening education programs and professional development training.
Nina's diverse background allows her to approach therapy with a holistic perspective, considering not only psychological factors but also cultural, biological, and social influences on family dynamics. Her ability to bridge different cultural contexts makes her particularly well-suited to serve the diverse communities that Grupo CRECER aims to support.
