Waldo Winborn

Waldo Winborn, LPCC, RPT, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who is EMDR-certified and brings decades of behavioral health experience to work with children and families affected by trauma. He specializes in child and family therapy and trauma-informed care, using play therapy and EMDR to meet each client’s needs.

He co-founded Winborn Wellness & Counseling in 2009 and serves as its clinical director, leading a group practice with over 20 mental health clinicians. His work extends across Grant, Hidalgo, Catron, and Luna counties in Southern New Mexico, and he is a recognized supervisor by the New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board and the Board of Social Work Examiners.

Winborn emphasizes a trauma-informed approach that supports healing and growth in a safe, supportive setting and focuses on individualized care for children and families. His supervisory and leadership roles reflect a commitment to mentoring clinicians and supporting the delivery of mental health services in the region.
