Amelia Pekar

Amelia Pekar, RCA, is a Professional Counselor Associate at Spectrum Counseling and Mental Wellness who recently earned a Master’s degree in mental health counseling from Lewis & Clark College and is authorized by the state of Oregon to work with clients while receiving regular supervision.

She has counseled adults dealing with depression, anxiety, relational concerns, and the complexities of family systems, supports LGBTQ+ individuals, and has facilitated workshops focused on developing coping skills and mental health awareness.

Her approach integrates relational cultural theory and narrative therapy with trauma-informed practices and a multicultural humble stance; she balances validation with gentle challenging and emphasizes psychoeducation and attention to the therapeutic relationship.
