Amy Schere

Amy Schere, LCSWA, Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, blends physical therapy expertise with psychotherapy to support mind-body health. She specializes in anxiety, depression, chronic pain, eating disorders, trauma-related issues, and perinatal mood disorders and is trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), ACT, Exposure & Response Prevention for OCD, DBT, and CBT.

She spent a decade as a physical therapist in inpatient and outpatient settings and holds an MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Columbia University, and a BA in Psychology from Cornell University. She also completed a 6-month training course in IFS practice.

Amy's practice is rooted in an anti-oppressive, body-positive framework informed by Health at Every Size principles. She offers a client-centered, inclusive, mind-body approach that combines evidence-based therapies to address symptoms and support meaningful change.
