Claire Swanson

Claire Swanson earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She employs a humanistic approach combined with psychodynamic psychotherapy to help individuals increase self-awareness and gain a deeper understanding of the internal structures that shape their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Claire emphasizes the importance of a collaborative and trusting therapeutic relationship to illuminate these underlying forces. She is particularly drawn to working with individuals experiencing eating disorders, recognizing the harmful impact of cultural perceptions on health and well-being. Her work focuses on supporting clients in cultivating self-acceptance through self-compassion and by listening to the cues of the body, mind, and spirit.
