Constance Salhany

Constance Salhany, LMHC, Ph.D., A-CBT, has over 25 years of experience and is one of only 130 individuals worldwide with advanced certification as a consultant and trainer in Cognitive Therapy. She is Founder and Clinical Director of Cognitive Therapy of Staten Island.

She holds an MS in School & Community Counseling from CUNY College of Staten Island and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Walden University, and completed an Extramural Program at the Beck Institute supervised by Judith Beck. A licensed psychologist in New York and New Jersey, she specializes in anxiety and depressive disorders and uses CBT including Exposure and Response Prevention, cognitive strategies, behavioral experiments, and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

She serves as a Clinical Instructor for psychiatric residents and as an Adjunct Professor. Her practice emphasizes a collaborative, evidence-based approach with customized goals and expected milestones in recovery; she is available for supervision, consultation, and staff training.
