David Rangel

David Rangel, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Graduate Student Intern at Elite Performance Counseling, works with clients navigating life transitions and trauma. A veteran of the United States Army, he draws on his experience as a combat medic and paramedic to inform crisis-aware care.

Fluent in both English and American Sign Language (ASL), he increases access for Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients. He is in the final year of his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX.

David integrates evidence-based interventions, mindfulness techniques, and elements of existential and person-centered therapy to create a nonjudgmental space for exploration. He focuses on practical coping and resilience during transitions and recovery from trauma.
