James Stokes

James Stokes, RMHC, is a Registered Mental Health Counselor. He earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master's in professional mental health counseling from Southeastern University.

He has counseled children, adolescents, and adults and completed an internship at Peace River Center in crisis intervention and dialectical behavior therapy. He has worked with at-risk youth facing out-of-home placement and has experience in private practice and church-based services.

Faith-centered and client-centered, James meets clients where they are while respecting their values and beliefs. He combines professional training and personal conviction to support clients' goals; his favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 5:7: "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you."
