Jessica Williams
LMFT • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
About
Compassionate collaboration and goal-directed therapy form the cornerstone of Jessica Williams' approach as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). With a systemic viewpoint and an integrative methodology, Jessica creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can heal from their past and embrace their future.
Jessica's therapeutic toolkit is diverse and tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients. As an EMDR certified therapist, she employs Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing alongside Narrative Therapy, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Attachment theory. This integrative approach allows her to address a wide range of issues, with particular expertise in gender, sexuality, relational work (including queer, kinky, and non-monogamous relationships), anxiety, trauma healing, and body image.
With a Master of Science in Couples and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from the University of Oregon, Jessica brings a strong academic foundation to her practice. Her specialized training in LGBTQIA+ counseling, relational counseling, and trauma healing further enhances her ability to provide inclusive and effective care.
Jessica's practice is grounded in client-centered, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed values. She works primarily with individual adults and romantic partnerships, viewing each client's journey through a systemic lens. This perspective allows her to consider the broader context of her clients' lives, leading to more comprehensive and lasting positive changes.
For Jessica, therapy is more than just a profession; it's an honor to hear her clients' stories and witness their growth. She believes that change occurs when individuals are provided with a supportive space to explore their experiences and challenges. Through her compassionate and collaborative approach, Jessica helps clients navigate their path to healing and personal growth, always maintaining a goal-directed focus to ensure tangible progress in their therapeutic journey.
