About
Joe Woodard, MA, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in childhood trauma and works with depression, anxiety, trauma, neglect, and abuse (physical, sexual, spiritual, and emotional). He also supports athletes and individuals struggling with identity confusion.
He completed undergraduate training at Multnomah University in 2010 in Pastoral Leadership and Bible/Theology and earned a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. He served at a church in Western Washington, worked at the Cocoon House, an at-risk youth housing organization in Everett, and completed a clinical internship at Westminster Chapel in Bellevue; he provides counseling to individuals, adolescents, couples, and families.
His therapeutic approach is grounded in attachment theory and psychodynamic principles and is compassionate and relational. He aims to walk alongside clients in a safe, honest, and trustworthy environment as they explore past wounds and their impact on present life and relationships.
