Johanny Matos

Johanny Matos, LCDP, is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional in Rhode Island. She holds two Master of Science degrees in Family Therapy and Clinical Psychology from Universidad Nacional Evangélica in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and a Bachelor's degree in Christian Psychology from Universidad Nuestro Pacto Internacional in West Palm Beach, Florida.

She provides individual psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, addressing substance dependency and broader mental health concerns. As a fluent Spanish speaker, she is well positioned to serve the Hispanic community and reduce language barriers to care.

With six years of experience, Johanny has also provided undergraduate instruction in clinical psychology, psychopathology, individual and group therapy, and behavioral modification, bringing both clinical and teaching perspectives to treatment. Her approach is non-judgmental and empathetic, focused on creating a safe space for healing and growth.
