Jose Valentin

Jose Valentin, Ph.D., LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut and is fully bilingual in both English and Spanish. He earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, where he graduated with honors in 2017, and since 2012, Dr. Valentin has dedicated himself to the field of mental health.

He employs psychoanalytical, psychodynamic, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, narrative and expressive psychotherapies, Motivational Interviewing, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and is skilled in psychological testing, including psychoeducational, neuropsychological, and personality assessments.

His practice has a focus on Health Psychology and Clinical Psychological interventions, supporting crisis management, minimizing the effects of adult and childhood trauma, and addressing PTSD, addiction, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems for children, teenagers, adults, veterans, and geriatric clients.
