Since becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2016, Kellie has dedicated herself to helping clients break cycles of suffering and discover their power of choice in life's challenging moments.
Kellie's approach is grounded in a strengths-based perspective, utilizing various treatment modalities to meet clients where they are in their journey. Her expertise spans a wide range of areas, including mood and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, ADHD, parenting challenges, women's issues, emotional abuse, PTSD, family strife, and guiding individuals towards healthy lifestyle changes. This diverse skill set allows her to tailor her approach to each client's unique needs and goals.
With a background that includes working with children, adults, active-duty military, and veterans in both inpatient and outpatient settings since 2010, Kellie brings a wealth of experience to her practice. Her past work as a civilian employee for the Department of Defense has enhanced her understanding of neuroscience and fostered an appreciation for practices supporting nervous system regulation. This experience particularly benefits her work with military families and veterans, as she intimately understands the unique challenges they face.
Kellie is not only trained in evidence-based theories but is also certified in Prolonged Exposure Treatment for Anxiety and trained in EMDR practices. She incorporates mindfulness-based approaches and works diligently to lessen the severity of stress-induced symptoms in her clients' lives. Her commitment to continuous learning ensures that she stays at the forefront of therapeutic practices, always seeking new ways to support her clients' growth and healing.
When she's not in the office, Kellie's love for personal growth extends to her own life. She enjoys hiking trails and playing sports, embodying the active and balanced lifestyle she encourages in her clients. This personal dedication to wellbeing adds an authentic dimension to her practice, allowing her to connect with clients on a deeper level and inspire positive change through example.
