Laurie Downey

Laurie Downey, PhD, LPC-S, is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor. Her advanced education culminating in a PhD has informed her understanding of therapeutic methodologies and psychological principles.

At Coastal Synergy Associates, she is part of a dedicated team offering counseling, life coaching, psychological testing, play therapy, and Play Attention Neurofeedback. She works with children as young as 4 years old to adults, allowing for age-appropriate, developmentally informed interventions.

Her role includes supervising and mentoring other professionals in addition to providing direct counseling services. The practice’s emphasis on customized care supports a flexible, client-centered approach that can be particularly beneficial in complex cases.
