Liz Mendez

With over 18 years of experience in mental health, Liz Mendez, LMSW, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. Her diverse background spans across various settings, including schools, community organizations, and migration services, allowing her to offer a unique perspective in both English and Spanish.

Liz's therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioral therapy, with a strong focus on problem-solving and trauma-informed care. She specializes in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorders, and trauma, tailoring her methods to each individual's needs.

Liz's educational journey reflects her commitment to ongoing professional development. She holds two master's degrees in social work - one from UAGM in Puerto Rico, completed in 2011, and another from Loyola University, earned in 2021 after relocating to Dallas in 2020. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in administration and social policy, further enhancing her ability to serve her clients and contribute to the field.

Beyond her clinical work, Liz brings a unique dimension to her practice through her role as a soldier in the United States Army Reserve, a position she has held since 2011. This experience not only demonstrates her dedication to service but also provides her with valuable insights into the challenges faced by military personnel and their families.
