Melissa McKenna

Melissa McKenna, MA, MS, LMHC, LCDP, is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional and Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience in addiction counseling. She brings clinical focus and practical experience to her work.

She uses CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing and holds a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling with a Mental Health Counseling specialization from the University of the Cumberlands. These trainings inform her work with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns.

Melissa provides individual and group counseling for children, adolescents, and adults and has worked with the Juvenile Hearing Board in Barrington conducting outreach to help adolescents resolve criminal charges and legal issues. Her practice is marked by empathy and a non-judgmental attitude and creates a safe, judgment-free environment where she collaborates with clients to identify barriers and pursue practical solutions.
