Dr. Roberts' therapeutic toolkit is vast and versatile, drawing from evidence-based methodologies including Adlerian therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-focused approaches. With a Master's Degree in Counseling from St. Xavier University in Chicago and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from National Louis University, Dr. Roberts has cultivated a deep understanding of human behavior and learning processes. Dr. Roberts' professional journey has taken her through diverse settings, each contributing to her holistic view of mental health. Her experience spans from community-based organizations like SGA Youth and Family Services to educational environments such as Camelot Schools and College of DuPage. She has also worked in intensive treatment settings, including South Campus Therapeutic Day School and Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Facility, where she held a supervisory position. Currently, as the Program Director for the Naperville location of Symetria Recovery, an outpatient substance abuse clinic, Dr. Roberts continues to demonstrate her commitment to helping individuals overcome complex challenges.
