Monica Roberts

Monica Roberts, LCPC, Ed.D., is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and educational psychologist with a Master's Degree in Counseling from St. Xavier University in Chicago and a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from National Louis University.

She uses an eclectic, evidence-based toolkit including Adlerian therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and trauma-focused approaches, tailoring techniques to each client's needs. Her experience includes SGA Youth and Family Services; Camelot Schools; College of DuPage; South Campus Therapeutic Day School; and Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Facility, where she held a supervisory position, and she currently serves as Program Director for the Naperville location of Symetria Recovery, an outpatient substance abuse clinic.

Dr. Roberts works with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups using a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, practical goal-setting, and skills-building to support clients' growth and functioning.
