About

With over two decades of experience assisting vulnerable families and individuals, Quynh Tran, A.M.F.T., brings a wealth of compassion and expertise to her role as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Holding a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University Fullerton, Quynh's academic foundation is complemented by her extensive practical experience in social work.

Quynh's therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that every individual possesses inherent strengths waiting to be discovered and nurtured. She creates a safe, judgment-free space where clients can freely express themselves, engage in deep reflection, and embark on a journey of authentic self-discovery. Her strengths-based approach, coupled with her ability to actively listen and show empathy, forms the cornerstone of her practice.

Understanding that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution, Quynh tailors her approach to each client's unique needs. While she primarily favors a psychodynamic approach to uncover underlying issues and provide insight, she recognizes that insight alone doesn't drive change. To facilitate meaningful transformation, Quynh incorporates a variety of modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, internal family systems, client-centered therapy, and humanistic-existential therapy.

Quynh's extensive experience encompasses work with adults, adolescents, and couples, addressing a wide range of issues including trauma, cultural challenges, individuation, anxiety, OCD, addiction, depression, anger, sex and intimacy, and relationship problems. Her diverse skill set allows her to adapt her therapeutic techniques to best serve each client's specific situation and goals.

Viewing therapy as both a courageous act and an act of self-love, Quynh is deeply committed to supporting her clients on their path to healing and self-actualization. She believes that self-awareness and reflection are among the greatest gifts one can give to oneself and to loved ones. With her professional expertise and personal dedication to growth, Quynh stands ready to guide clients through their therapeutic journey, helping them confront challenges, discover inner strengths, and achieve meaningful personal transformation.
