Rachel McDermott

Rachel McDermott, MA, LMFT, has over a quarter-century of experience in the mental health field and began her psychotherapy career in 1999. She specializes in couples and families, parent-child relationship issues, and blended families.

Her roles have included Hospital Social Worker at Kaweah Delta Mental Health Hospital; Mediator for Tulare County Family Court Services; and Social Worker for Child Welfare Services. She was also a Substance Abuse Counselor for a 28-day residential alcohol and drug abuse program and Lead Counselor for the Kings County PC 1000 Drug Diversion program.

From 2008 to 2016 she served as a Faculty Advisor for the University of Phoenix, teaching in the Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy program. Rachel offers a tailored, empathetic approach focused on healing and strengthening bonds to help families and couples build understanding and positive change.
