Dr. Roy Sugarman

Dr. Roy Sugarman is a neuroscientist and inventor, currently serving as chief neuroscientist at BoxPlay. He is also acting director of psychology at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre in Sydney and a conjoint senior lecturer in psychiatry at the University of New South Wales in Australia.

With a background in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, Sugarman works with individuals recovering from injury as well as elite professionals in athletics, the military and corporate settings. His current work with Transhuman Inc. focuses on improving mental health through its Social Health Innovations division, founded by Amanda Johnstone, who was named one of Time magazine’s Next Generation Leaders in 2019 and Startup CEO of the Year by CEO Magazine.
