Steve Cooper, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Family Tree Counseling and is known as 'The Teen Whisperer' for his work with teenagers and young adults. He focuses on connecting with adolescents and young adults in their early twenties to address developmental and mental health challenges.

He earned a Bachelor's degree from Taylor University, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy, and a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Ball State University. Before joining Family Tree Counseling, he worked eight years at Grant-Blackford Mental Health in Marion, Indiana.

His areas of expertise include severe mental illness, personality disorders, addictions, marriage and family issues, eating disorders, attention deficit disorder, gender identity issues, anxiety disorders, depression, codependency, counterdependency, and spiritual/faith issues. He draws on this experience to provide tailored, practical support for teens, young adults, and their families.
