Warren Townsend

Warren Townsend, LCSW, BCD, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who founded Professional Counseling Service in 1973. He established the first full-time private counseling practice in Bell and Coryell Counties to provide accessible, professional mental health support to the community.

Townsend opened a second office in Copperas Cove and developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals and families in Central Texas, shaping a practice grounded in social work and counseling. His expansion of services increased local access to consistent, professional care.

Although retired, his legacy remains: Professional Counseling Service continues to uphold Townsend’s vision of a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment and maintains his standards of professionalism, compassion, and dedication to client well-being.
