Abby Makris

Abby Makris, MA, LLC, is a mental health professional with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. She integrates Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic, and Mindfulness approaches to tailor care to each client's needs.

She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults and addresses depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and disabilities and daily living skills. She brings specialized knowledge in art/play therapy and working with individuals on the autism spectrum (ASD).

Abby focuses on creating a safe haven for vulnerability and building a collaborative client-counselor relationship grounded in trust. Passionate about mental health, arts and education, and animals, she supports clients in pursuing meaningful personal growth.
