Alan Hansen

Dr. Alan Hansen, Ph.D., Psychologist earned both his master's degree in Counseling and Guidance in 1994 and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology in 2004 from Brigham Young University (BYU). He has a 25-year career in private practice treating depression, anxiety, phobias, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and pornography and sexual addictions.

He has worked in the Utah Valley Hospital Behavioral Health Units, served as a School Counselor at Timpview High School, and was a Therapist at New Haven Residential Treatment Center. This range of settings supports his work with clients across levels of need.

Dr. Hansen focuses on creating a spiritually and emotionally safe setting for healing, combining academic training and clinical experience to tailor care for individuals seeking support and growth. His long-standing marriage of over three decades informs his perspective on relationships and family concerns.
