Alex Martinez

Alex Martinez is an intern working towards her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand View University. Martinez works with adolescents and adults navigating life transitions, depression, anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, stress management, and women's issues.

Martinez began her healthcare journey as a certified nursing assistant, witnessing the impact of therapeutic connections on people facing trauma. This led to her role as a behavioral health counselor in an inpatient setting. For the past four years, she has provided educational skills groups and crisis stabilization for both adolescents and adults.

Her approach is grounded in Existential-Humanistic principles, emphasizing personal philosophy and resilience. Martinez balances serious therapeutic work with humor, creating a comfortable environment that exploration and growth.
