Allison McKenzie

Allison McKenzie, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Freedom First Psychological Services. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Dean College and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from The College of St. Rose.

She specializes in working with adolescents and adults and has expertise in addressing trauma/PTSD, interpersonal violence, difficulties with mood/emotional regulation, anxiety disorders, and depression. Allison has worked with adolescents in the juvenile justice system and families involved in custodial/reunification matters, providing experience with complex clinical and systemic issues.

Her Person-Centered approach emphasizes a safe, collaborative therapeutic relationship, and her advocacy skills developed through her work with survivors of crime, abuse, and trauma complement her clinical care. Allison focuses on helping clients build coping and regulation skills and make steady progress toward their goals.
