Amanda Dixon

Amanda Dixon, LMHC, RPT, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and owner of her practice. She holds a Master's degree from The State University of New York at New Paltz and is licensed in New York.

She works with children, teens, and adults, specializing in anxiety, binge eating, attachment and relational challenges, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, trauma, and adoption issues, with an affinity for introverts and empaths. As a Registered Play Therapist she uses play and creative approaches and draws on Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment Therapy, EMDR, Expressive Arts Modalities, Internal Family Systems, Play Therapy, Animal Assisted Play Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to tailor care.

Amanda offers in-person or telehealth sessions and emphasizes a collaborative, accepting therapeutic relationship, walking alongside clients as they explore their inner worlds and work toward their goals.
