Athanasia Mazinova

Athanasia Mazinova, MHC, Mental Health Counseling Intern at Tree of Life MHC. She has a background working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum and experience as a behavioral technician and teaching assistant for individuals aged 3–21, which informs her work with neurodiverse clients across the lifespan.

As a master’s-level clinician, Athanasia is part of a collaboration between Tree of Life MHC and CUNY CSI's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and offers high-quality, low-fee counseling services to the Staten Island community. She practices within a team offering individual and couples counseling, play therapy, sand tray therapy, and art therapy.

Her practice has an emphasis on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is tailored to each client’s needs, focusing on accessible, sensitive care and practical skill-building for children, teens, and adults.
