Athanasia Mazinova

Athanasia Mazinova is a Mental Health Counselor Intern at Tree of Life MHC. Mazinova works with people on the Autism Spectrum, providing support to clients from young children to adults. She helps address diverse mental health needs, making care accessible to the Staten Island community.

Mazinova is a master's level clinician participating in a collaboration between Tree of Life MHC and CUNY CSI's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Her background includes experience as a behavioral technician and teaching assistant for people aged 3-21, enhancing her understanding of neurodiversity.

In therapy, Mazinova employs Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy among other approaches to help clients change negative thought patterns. Her practice includes individual and couples counseling, play therapy, and art therapy. Clients can expect a comprehensive and tailored approach, with sessions structured to meet their needs.
