With a focus on serving the African American population and other diverse cultures, Aureyon brings a unique perspective to her therapeutic practice, addressing the specific needs of marginalized communities.
Aureyon's approach is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy, which she seamlessly blends with other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness. This integrative style allows her to create tailored treatment plans that promote healthy insight and sustainable growth for each client. Recognizing that every individual's needs are unique, Aureyon employs a collaborative approach to explore problems and find the most appropriate treatment style.
As a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Aureyon has honed her skills to assist a wide range of clients. She provides play therapy for children (ages 8 and up) and individual counseling for teens and adults. Her areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, interpersonal conflict, career and academic concerns, and life transitions.
Aureyon is passionate about breaking down the stigmas that often prevent people from seeking mental health services. She creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be their most authentic selves, believing that this environment is crucial for the therapeutic relationship and the overall healing journey.
