From a young age, Aurora Abbott was drawn to the power of human resilience and growth. Now, as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), she channels that passion into helping adults navigate life's challenges and unlock their inner strength.

Aurora's therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion and a deep understanding of the human experience. She specializes in guiding clients through life stressors, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. Her toolkit is diverse, allowing her to tailor her approach to each individual's needs. She seamlessly blends cognitive behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to create a holistic treatment plan.

With a Master's of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University, Aurora brings both academic rigor and practical experience to her practice. Her background in Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) has given her valuable insights into the complexities of mental health challenges and the importance of personalized care.

Aurora's strength-based and person-centered approach emphasizes the wisdom and survival skills that each individual possesses. She believes in the power of therapy to help clients acknowledge these innate strengths and develop them into new behaviors and thinking patterns. When not in the therapy room, Aurora finds solace and rejuvenation in nature. As a native of the Iron Range area, she cherishes time spent at the lake with family, finding therapeutic value in the great outdoors. Her love for walking, four-wheeling, and simply being outside informs her holistic approach to mental health and well-being. Aurora's diverse interests, from music and travel to exploring new cuisines, contribute to her well-rounded perspective on life – a perspective she brings to every therapeutic relationship.
