About
Barb Kolb is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and over 15 years of experience in the field. She is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults in navigating challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and life stressors.
Barb specializes in helping children build emotional regulation skills, develop healthy expression of feelings, and foster a strong sense of self through play therapy. In her work with adolescents and adults, she integrates a family systems perspective with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore the impact of early experiences and reframe unhelpful internal dialogue.
Trained in EMDR, CBT, IFS, DBT, Polyvagal theory, Gottman Method, Synergetic Play Therapy, and Sandtray therapy, Barb tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs. She is committed to working collaboratively with clients to help them get “unstuck,” achieve their goals, and move toward greater balance, authenticity, and well-being.
