Brian Ghezelaiagh

Brian Ghezelaiagh, MD, Board-Certified Psychiatrist, specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. He treats depression, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, ADHD, grief/bereavement, and relationship conflict.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Brooklyn College, earned his MD from Downstate Health Sciences University, and completed psychiatry residency at Stony Brook Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology and the American Board of Physicians and Surgeons and is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Greater Long Island Psychiatric Society.

Dr. Ghezelaiagh combines psychotherapy with medication management and applies published research on schizophrenia in later life and illness awareness in older adults with schizophrenia to his clinical work. He practices at Brookhaven Psychiatry, offering in-person and telehealth appointments while serving the Long Island community.
