Caitlin Frawley-Meier

Caitlin Frawley-Meier, PhD, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in play therapy and expressive arts therapy for children and adolescents. She uses a warm, empathic, humanistic, child-centered approach to create a nurturing therapeutic space.

She works with young clients ages 3 to 10 using play therapy and extends expressive arts therapy to adolescents, emphasizing collaboration with parents and caregivers and employing filial therapy techniques to involve caregivers as therapeutic change agents. She has authored articles and book chapters on play therapy and child–parent relationship therapy.

Dr. Frawley-Meier’s focus includes anxiety, aggression, family and parent–child relationship concerns, complex trauma histories, foster care and adoption transitions, behavioral problems, sibling conflict, self-esteem issues, and depression. She maintains ongoing professional development and tailors her approach to each child and family to support resilience and positive change.
