Chinaka Agwu

Chinaka Agwu, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor focused on healing psychological pain and distress. She works with trauma, mood disorders, dual diagnosis, and addiction rehabilitation, and provides crisis intervention counseling and comprehensive risk assessments.

Her background includes work with homeless veterans, providing transitional housing and supportive services, along with roles in clinical supervision and program direction. She has developed collaborative relationships with local providers to support reintegration and family-centered care.

As a second-generation Nigerian, Chinaka brings cultural competence in acculturative stress and immigrant identity work. At Thrive House Wellness, she helps clients identify strengths and separate themselves from trauma to improve self-concept and functioning.
