Christene Cernick

Christene Cernick is a co-facilitator of the "Living with Loss" group sessions at Paramount Behavioral Health. She works with people facing profound grief, offering support through her professional expertise and personal experience with loss.

Cernick's journey through grief began with the tragic loss of her husband. Her background as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Certified Childbirth Educator provides a solid foundation for understanding the physical and emotional impacts of grief. She combines this knowledge with personal insights to create a supportive environment.

In the 10-week closed program, Cernick collaborates with Dan Compton, a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, to guide participants. The sessions offer therapeutic ways to cope with loss, whether recent or past. Cernick's empathetic approach ensures a safe space for exploring emotions and learning coping strategies.
