Christene Cernick

Christene Cernick, RN, BSN, CCE, is a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Certified Childbirth Educator (CCE) who co-facilitates the "Living with Loss" group sessions at Paramount Behavioral Health, focusing on grief support.

Her medical training gives her a foundation for understanding the physical and emotional impacts of grief, and she draws on personal experience after the tragic loss of her husband to an unusual form of suicide.

She works alongside Dan Compton, a licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, to guide participants through a 10-week closed program for people who have lost loved ones from various causes. Her approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and practical support, creating an inclusive, safe space where participants can share experiences and learn coping strategies.
