With over 15 years of experience assisting individuals and families in crisis, Dr. Christina Warden brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her role as School Liaison Lead and Clinical Director at KP Counseling. Her extensive background in working with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault survivors, and youth-at-risk has shaped her into a versatile and empathetic therapist.

Dr. Warden's journey in the mental health field is marked by a profound commitment to end-of-life care, where she had the privilege of supporting patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. This experience has deeply informed her approach to counseling, allowing her to bring a unique perspective on life, loss, and healing to her private practice work.

As an educator, Dr. Warden has been an adjunct professor for over 12 years, teaching both bachelor's and master's level coursework in social work. This academic involvement keeps her at the forefront of the field, ensuring that her therapeutic approaches are grounded in the latest research and best practices. Her dedication to education extends beyond the classroom, as she frequently speaks in the community on topics related to mental health and well-being.

Dr. Warden's therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy, but she skillfully operates from several modalities to meet the diverse needs of her clients. She specializes in couples work, grief counseling, memory work, and treating depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and PTSD. Her certification in TF-CBT, CISM, and Critical Response work makes her particularly adept at helping first responders and veterans navigate the unique challenges they face.

When not in the office, Dr. Warden finds joy in her family life, balancing her professional commitments with the busy schedules of her four children. Her personal interests in reading, writing, and volunteering not only enrich her life but also inform her holistic approach to therapy. Licensed in both Illinois and Wisconsin, Dr. Warden is committed to serving as a conduit for understanding and healing in her clients' lives, guiding them towards living their most fulfilling lives.
