D.A. Vásquez

D.A. Vásquez, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in Laredo and a 5th generation Laredoan.

He focuses on trauma, family violence, and dissociation. He is trained or certified in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) for depression and anxiety, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Prolonged Exposure (PE) for PTSD, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Dr. Vásquez earned his PhD in Counseling Psychology with a doctoral minor in statistics from the University of Oklahoma and completed a pre-doctoral internship at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVRTC) and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. As a practice associate of Dr. Guillermo Gonzalez, Jr., he provides bilingual care in English and Spanish informed by active research and extensive training to deliver culturally competent, evidence-based treatment to the Laredo community.
