About
Curiosity about the multidimensional nature of human experiences drives Dr. Divya Babbar's approach to therapy. As a licensed clinical psychologist, she invites clients to explore how race, gender, sexuality, disability, and class intersect to shape their lived experiences and challenges. Dr. Babbar believes this holistic exploration is crucial for finding relief and solutions.
Dr. Babbar provides individual and couples therapy to adolescents, adults, and couples. Her practice is grounded in relational psychodynamic therapy, which she integrates with trauma-informed techniques and mindfulness practices. This comprehensive approach allows Dr. Babbar to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs. She believes that early life experiences profoundly influence how we navigate the world and our relationships. Through this lens, Dr. Babbar fosters an authentic and intimate therapeutic relationship to facilitate personal growth and self-discovery.
With master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University, Dr. Babbar completed her doctoral internship at Stony Brook University Counseling Center. Her diverse training experiences span autism and speech clinics, community mental health, university clinics, college counseling, and private practice.
