Dr. O'Brien's academic credentials are impressive, beginning with an Educational Specialist's (Ed.S) degree in Couples, Marriage and Family Counseling from the University of South Carolina. This foundation laid the groundwork for her initial professional experience as a school-based counselor in a community mental health agency. In this role, she worked with children and their families across Elementary, Middle, High, and Alternative school settings, gaining valuable insights into the challenges faced by young people and their support systems.
Furthering her expertise, Dr. O'Brien went on to obtain her doctorate in philosophy (Ph.D.) in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida.
