With over a decade of experience in clinical behavioral therapy, Gretchen Rodriguez, MSW, LCSW, brings a wealth of expertise to her practice, specializing in treating complex mental health conditions. Gretchen's professional journey began with a bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Therapy from Carlos Albizu University in Puerto Rico in 2008, followed by a master's degree in clinical social work in 2012. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident in her certification in Supervision and Management from the Institute of Higher Education in Puerto Rico (2015). As a member of the College of Social Workers of Puerto Rico (CPTSPR) with an MSW permanent license, Gretchen maintains high professional standards in her practice.

Specializing in working with adults facing Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety, Gretchen employs a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Her main methodologies include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based interventions, allowing her to tailor treatment plans to each client's unique needs.

Gretchen's diverse professional background enriches her therapeutic approach. She has served as a clinical and operational supervisor of a crisis hotline, demonstrating her ability to handle high-stress situations and provide critical support. Additionally, her experience in conducting work capability assessments has given her valuable insights into helping individuals navigate the challenges of returning to the workforce.

Beyond her clinical work, Gretchen has contributed to the field of social work education. With four years of experience as a Supervising Professor, she has guided undergraduate social work students through internships and facilitated courses in social work and mental health at Ana G. Mendez University in Carolina, PR. This academic involvement keeps her at the forefront of current practices and theories in the field.
