About

With a compassionate and tailored approach to mental health, Haley Abee, MS, brings a fresh perspective to the field of counseling. Specializing in trauma, anxiety/panic disorder, depression, and life transitions, Haley creates a supportive environment for young adults and adults aged 16 and above to navigate their mental health journey.

Haley's therapeutic philosophy is rooted in the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all solution in counseling. She works collaboratively with each client to identify specific therapy goals and develop a personalized treatment plan aimed at sustainable healing and change. Her integrative approach draws from various therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and gestalt theories. This diverse toolkit allows her to adapt her methods to best suit each individual's unique needs and circumstances.

A key focus of Haley's practice is increasing awareness and discovering coping skills to reduce unwanted symptoms. She guides her clients through a process of self-discovery, helping them to uncover their inner strengths and develop practical strategies for managing their mental health challenges. Whether working with a client struggling with trauma, helping someone navigate the complexities of anxiety, or supporting an individual through a major life transition, Haley brings a depth of understanding and a commitment to fostering lasting positive change.

Haley earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University, providing her with a strong foundation in contemporary therapeutic practices. Currently, she is working towards her Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC-MHSP) credentials, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to professional growth and excellence in her field.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Haley finds joy and rejuvenation in nature, often spending her free time outdoors. She has a particular fondness for mountain travel, reflecting her appreciation for the healing power of natural environments. This personal interest in nature and wellness informs her holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and environment in overall well-being. Haley's love for her dog and the value she places on time with family and friends also speaks to her understanding of the importance of connection and support systems in maintaining mental health.
