About

Creating a safe space where clients feel heard and respected is at the core of Haley Schultz's therapeutic approach. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA) and Resident in Counseling at Chesapeake Counseling Center, Haley combines a Person-Centered approach with Cognitive Behavioral techniques to empower individuals facing anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and feelings of impulsivity.

Haley's journey in mental health began with a strong academic foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Longwood University, followed by a Master's degree in Counselor Education from the same institution. Her practical experience is equally impressive, having completed her practicum at Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health in their Partial Hospitalization Program. She further honed her skills during her internship at Health Connect America, where she served as both a therapeutic day treatment counselor and an intensive in-home counselor.

Specializing in anxiety, obsessions/compulsions, panic attacks, and self-harming behaviors, Haley is dedicated to helping teens, adults, and couples navigate life's challenges. Her therapeutic style is tailored to fit each client's unique needs and goals.
