Jesus Barba

Jesus Barba is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with youth, adolescents, and young adults at Central Valley Family Therapy in Fresno, CA. Barba helps clients manage anxiety, depression, and trauma-related stressors, drawing on his personal experience as an immigrant to connect with diverse backgrounds.

Barba was born in Mexicali, Mexico, and raised in Los Angeles, California. He spent six years working with children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health challenges and immigration issues before pursuing his degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a trainee in Los Angeles, he developed skills in assessments, diagnoses, and treatment interventions.

His therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Family Systems Theory. Barba focuses on identifying clients' internal strengths and external resources, fostering personal growth and resilience.
