At the helm of The Hume Center stands a visionary leader who has dedicated over two decades to fostering psychological well-being in her community. Dr. Joty Sikand, PsyD, has been the driving force behind the center's growth and impact since joining in 1997, rising to become its CEO and President.

As a licensed psychologist (PSY21897), Dr. Sikand brings a wealth of clinical expertise to her leadership role. Under her guidance, The Hume Center has expanded its reach, now offering 15 programs across five clinics in multiple California counties. Her commitment to serving the under- and un-served populations is evident in the center's mission to provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive behavioral health services.

Dr. Sikand's approach to leadership is rooted in the practice of "enabling consultation," a methodology she has refined based on the work of Gerald Caplan and her own extensive experience. This innovative style has allowed her to empower trainees and staff, resulting in the significant expansion of the agency's services and impact.

Throughout her tenure, Dr. Sikand has championed professional training and research alongside clinical services.
