Joty Sikand

Dr. Joty Sikand is a licensed psychologist and the CEO and President of The Hume Center. Sikand works with under- and un-served populations, guiding the center's mission to provide comprehensive, culturally sensitive behavioral health services across multiple California counties.

Sikand joined The Hume Center in 1997, bringing over two decades of clinical expertise to her leadership role. Her career began with a focus on professional training and research, which has significantly shaped the center's multifaceted approach to mental health care. In 2014, she was named a Behavioral Health Champion by Behavioral Healthcare magazine.

Her leadership style incorporates the practice of "enabling consultation," based on Gerald Caplan's work. This approach supports trainees and staff, facilitating the expansion of services. Clients can expect a structured and supportive environment, with a focus on outcome-based research and professional development.
