Justyn Smith, PhD, LPC-S, is Lead Clinical and Supervising Therapist at Heights Family Counseling and holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Sam Houston State University. He supports the LGBTQ+ community and works with clients managing intense emotions, relationship conflicts, questions of direction and purpose, coming out, and fostering self-acceptance.
He uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy and brings a collaborative, relationship-focused approach with a multicultural lens. He has worked in community health agencies, psychiatric hospitals, non-profits, and college counseling centers, which inform his clinical perspective.
As an adjunct professor and supervisor, he emphasizes teaching practical tools and skills to support clients and supervisees in building clarity and clinical competence.
